PNW Backyard Wedding of Zac & Kim

Zac and Kim were troopers last year, dealing with the many ups and downs of covid-19 and trying to plan a wedding! Yet, this day turned out beautifully. The day was laced with sunflowers, happy tears and bright decor. Many friends and family helped make this day special – with delightful curated food, handmade decor and fresh flowers in a woodsy backyard. This was the absolute sweetest non-traditional Pacific Northwest backyard wedding in Washington.

Even though it was not what they originally planned for, their day was laidback, heartfelt, and so beautifully meaningful. For the ceremony, they were married in Zac’s childhood church and walked down the aisle to an arbor full of sunflowers. Then guests were invited back to a small reception which was very sweet, and guests enjoyed charming toasts and food.

I am very late to posting the big day from 2020, but cheers to the happy couple! If you are interested in viewing their engagement photos – take a peak here!

The Art of Being Book Design

My husband wrote a book this year! This was a really fun project with being able to design the cover, do the book layout and formatting and social media promotional. Here is a little snip-bit about the book:

What is the good life? What is our ultimate aim as humans? What is the end to which we are created?

These are the questions that each of us have to answer to be able to draw lifelong meaning and purpose. Yet they are also questions that constantly bombard us in our everyday scrolling as edenic-like images beckon us to do more, be better and work harder so that we can project an identity in the midst of a chaotic world.

What if there was another invitation in the midst of our cultural moment? An invitation that is not merely something unique to our modern world but in uniformity with the ages of the past from a story about our shared origins in opening pages of the biblical scriptures. A misunderstood story from our ancestors that invites us to just….be.

A countercultural invitation to form our lives to a different end. To a life patterned and postured around the presence of God, injected into the everyday rhythms and routines of life. The everpresent invitation of our true Father to find purpose in His Presence.

Blake & Hery’s Engagement at St. Edwards Park

Kenmore, WA

Blake & Hery’s engagement session was the perfect way to capture their joy-filled relationship. I met up with these two last weekend right before Easter for a fun photo session to celebrate their engagement at St. Edwards Park. This was such a fun precursor to their upcoming wedding next month! The way these two interact with one another and laugh nonstop is something special to observe. They had smiles on their faces the entire time and a delightful charm. I absolutely adore these two and their hearts. They are both compassionate, wise, self-less individuals who truly want the best for others. I am so excited to capture their wedding this upcoming month and honored to be part of this season of their life. Congratulations future Mr & Mrs Valley!

Baby Bree

Puyallup, WA

Bree Willow was born last month on August 3rd. She was quite happy in her momma’s tummy, being a solid two weeks late! But she made her debut and what a beauty she is! Bree was born 7lbs 11oz, and 21 inches long and well loved. Her mom has been one of my oldest friends, and I am so thrilled for Kay and Ryan as they enter into new territory as parents with this gorgeous little girl! They are doing an incredible job and it is so fun to see this stage of life. Welcome to the world baby Bree! I am so excited to watch you grow over the years!
