Beauty of a Dream

“You must give everything to make your life as beautiful as the dreams that dance in your imagination.” -Roman Payne

My husband and I are taking this next year to start working toward our dreams. Things that we believe we were created for, things we are passionate about and things that constantly dance in our imaginations. Yet, these dreams don’t come easy. We have learned more of the depths of sacrifice and that you really do have to give it everything to achieve them mixed in with a ton of faith. We will be jumping into a lot of nail biting opportunities soon and it is a wild ride. I am so excited and also tempted with a bit of human fear, but I wouldn’t want to be in any other place. We trust Jesus in this. A journey He is directing us.

Are there any hidden dreams in your life waiting to come to life? Share it here because sometimes the first step is just naming it.beauty_israel_church

Chasing Snow

Snoqualmie, WA

My husband and I really enjoy exploring. This past weekend I was really desiring to see some snow and go play around in the woods, so we headed to North Bend and Snoqualmie area. The coolest thing about living in Tacoma, is that you are right on the water and a quick drive to the mountains. Makes for a lot of fun adventures and beautiful scenary in whatever season. I usually try to convince everyone I like to move here, because I just have so much adoration for this, place plus having all your friends in one place is kind of nice.

Adventures with my husband tend to lead to lots of frames of Trevor. He is such a sport though and puts up with me. Plus, he is just the most handsome man alive so it’s only natural. AMEN?

Henry Art Gallery

Seattle, WA

Trevor took me to the Henry Art Gallery on UW campus for a date night last friday. And half our entrance was free since Trevor is officially a graduate student this January! YAY for student discounts again! I love museums, even if I barely understand what is going on or I stand at a piece of art for 30 minutes in awe. But every time, it’s a guarantee to spark curiosity and always inspire me in some fashion.

During this journey, a large section of the pieces were in some ways rip offs. Portraying art or literature pieces that were inspiring and shaped in their own journals. It reminded me of Tumblr. You often use this tool to re-blog others on your own blog. Yet, it’s still unique because it is on your page, how you designed it. So in this, they had really old journals with clippings from news papers or various books that were in peoples “common place” journals, similar to a scrap book. It was still very beautiful how they laid out others words. In some cases made the original authors words come to life in ways that shape that individuals own life. You could even take home and collect quotes, pictures and pieces of stories for your own “common place” journal. And be a part of it with having your portrait taken and added to a collection in the lower gallery. Trevor and I grabbed a few items that inspired us and enjoyed exploring.

What was your favorite museum you have ever ventured to?

Kelly & Bobby’s Engagement

Seattle, WA

Bobby & Kelly met at a Relay for Life event a few years ago and have never looked back. I love this quote from Ann Landers, I believe it describes Kelly & Bobby’s relationship well.  “Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses”. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in August! Congratulations Kelly & Bobby!
